Living as an Example Today

Devotional Thought
One of the greatest lies we can believe is that we must wait for the “right” season before fully living for God. We tell ourselves that when we are older, more experienced, or more confident, then we will step into what God has for us. But Scripture challenges that mindset.
In 1 Timothy 4:12, Paul reminds a young leader that his age does not disqualify him from spiritual impact. Instead of striving to prove himself, Timothy was called to live as an example.
This calling reaches beyond one generation. If you belong to Christ, you are equipped right now by His Spirit. Your words can encourage. Your actions can reflect integrity. Your love can soften hearts. Your faith can inspire perseverance. Your purity can honor God.
You do not need permission to shine for Christ. You are already equipped.

- Have you allowed someone else’s opinion to limit your usefulness in God’s kingdom?

Application
Choose one of the five areas in 1 Timothy 4:12 and intentionally practice it each day this week.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for equipping me through Your Spirit. Help me to live as an example in my words, actions, love, faith, and purity. Give me courage to trust that You can use me right where I am. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Weekly Challenge
Memorize 1 Timothy 4:12 and ask God daily to help you live it out in one specific situation.
