The Way to Worthy Is Covered with Blood

The Verdict Is In: Whose Voice Will You Believe?
Timestamp: 01:21:00 – 01:22:29
The water has washed our walk. The blood has secured our souls and the new and living way is open right now.
Dr. Jones declares that the blood has secured the believer’s soul, the Word washes the believer’s walk, and there is no ground left for the accuser to stand on. He calls listeners to reject lies of shame and look to the cross and torn veil, where Jesus opened access to the Father.
The Way to Worthy Is Covered with Blood
Scripture Focus: Hebrews 10:19-22
Hebrews declares that believers have boldness to enter God’s presence through the blood of Jesus. Through Christ, a new and living way has been opened, and His people can draw near with true hearts and full assurance of faith.
A New and Living Way
The sermon reminds us that we cannot make ourselves worthy through good deeds, church attendance, religious effort, or personal strength. Under the old covenant, the veil marked a boundary between sinful people and the holy presence of God. But Jesus made a way through His sacrifice. When He gave His life, He opened access to the Father.
Because of Jesus, believers do not have to crawl, hide, bargain, or sneak into God’s presence. We may come with holy boldness because Christ has done what we could never do for ourselves.
The Accuser Does Not Have the Final Word
Satan seeks to accuse believers by replaying failures, sins, and shame. He wants God’s people to believe they are permanently defined by their past. Yet the gospel declares a greater truth: Jesus has cleansed those who belong to Him.
“You must stop letting the accuser convince you that you are what you have been delivered from.”
The blood of Jesus does not simply cover a record temporarily. It cleanses the conscience and establishes believers in a new covenant relationship with God. What once brought shame can become a testimony of grace.
Blood for the Soul, Water for the Walk
The blood of Jesus secures the believer’s standing before God. At the same time, the Word of God continually washes and reshapes the believer’s daily conduct. Salvation is not earned by improved behavior, but those who are saved are called to walk differently.
We do not clean up our lives in order to come to Jesus. We come to Jesus by faith, and His Spirit works through His Word to transform our habits, attitudes, speech, and relationships.
Respond in Faith
- Reject the lie that your past is your identity.
- Thank Jesus for cleansing you through His blood.
- Draw near to God with confidence and a true heart.
- Let God’s Word wash your daily walk.
- Use your testimony to encourage someone else who needs hope.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for opening a new and living way to the Father. Cleanse us from guilt, shame, and every accusing voice. Help us trust Your finished work, walk in Your truth, and live in a way that reflects the transformation You are working within us. Amen.
