Devotional Thought
It is both humbling and freeing to admit that we are a work in progress. In a world that pressures us to appear polished and perfected, Scripture reminds us that spiritual growth is ongoing. The Christian life is not about presenting a flawless image; it is about cooperating with a faithful God who is shaping us day by day.
Before we ever attempt to work out our salvation, God has already worked within us. He gives the desire. He supplies the strength. He produces the transformation. Salvation is not something we earn through effort; it is something we express through obedience.
This means we do not obey to gain God’s approval. We obey because we already have it in Christ. Jesus finished the work of salvation on the cross. Our obedience is not a payment; it is a response of love and gratitude.
Like muscles that must be exercised to grow stronger, spiritual truths must be lived out to be visible. Patience must show up in pressure. Generosity must appear in action. Forgiveness must be extended to others.
Our lives are being watched. When we choose gratitude over complaining and unity over disputing, we shine as lights in a dark world. Even unseen acts of service become sacrifices of praise that rise to God.
You may feel incomplete, but you are under construction by grace. The God who began a good work in you will complete it.

Prayer
Father, thank You for working in me by Your grace. Help me to faithfully work out what You have placed within. Make my life a light that brings You praise. In Jesus’ name, amen.
